An anchor target moved during observation
Section titled “An anchor target moved during observation”navigation.anchor.layout_shift · Review signal (Needs review) · Severity: Info
Why it matters. Target movement during observation is a review, not a clicked-navigation failure or CLS. Scroll offsets are excluded.
How to fix. Review the captured evidence and its measurement scope, then verify the intended behavior.
An anchor link points to a missing target
Section titled “An anchor link points to a missing target”navigation.anchor.target_missing · Issue · Severity: High
Why it matters. A broken in-page link prevents people from reaching the content the link promises and can make keyboard navigation confusing.
How to fix. Keep the target ID present and unique on the published page, and update the link to match it.
Review an initially hidden fragment target
Section titled “Review an initially hidden fragment target”navigation.anchor.target_not_visible · Review signal (Needs review) · Severity: High
Why it matters. People can activate a valid in-page link yet still miss the destination if a sticky header, hidden state or custom scrolling leaves it out of view.
How to fix. Check the target ID, sticky-header offset, hidden states, scroll margin and custom scrolling code.
