Updates
Section titled “Updates”Damdit checks for a new version 30 seconds after launch and then once a day. When one is available, it asks first: Install Update, Remind Me Later or Skip This Version. To check yourself, choose Check for Updates… in the Damdit menu (macOS) or the Help menu (Windows and Linux).
In Settings → About & Support → Updates:
- Automatically check for updates: turn off the daily check.
- Receive beta versions: get new versions before they’re released to everyone. Turning it off doesn’t downgrade; you keep your version until the stable one catches up.
Damdit never installs an update during an audit. It waits for the audit to finish, then offers Install and Relaunch or Install on Quit.
Every update is signed and verified before it’s installed.
Support
Section titled “Support”In Settings → About & Support → Support:
- Copy Diagnostic Information copies a summary for support with personal details removed.
- Contact Support opens an e-mail to support@damdit.com with that summary included. Review it before you send it.
