Notifications

Damdit can tell you when something needs you while you work in another app. Turn each kind on or off in Settings → General → Notifications. All are on until you turn them off.

Switch Damdit notifies you when
When an audit finishes an audit you started in Damdit, with the damdit command or from an AI tool finished (with its score, pages and issues), failed, or was blocked by the website
When an audit plan is ready the audit plan is ready to review and you can start the audit
After automatic audits a scheduled audit found new or reappeared issues, failed, takes unusually long or has a plan to review
When a new version is available a new version of Damdit is out, once for each version. A version you skipped doesn’t notify. See Updates

Audits you started, plans and new versions notify only while Damdit isn’t the app you’re using. If you’re in Damdit, you already see the result there. Clicking a notification opens Damdit at the audit, the plan or the update.

Notifications show the project’s name, not the website’s address. Turning a switch off stops only the system notification: Damdit itself still shows the result, the plan and the Update available button.

After automatic audits works together with Notify me after automatic audits in each project’s Project settings → Automation: a project notifies only when both are on.

Your system decides whether Damdit may show notifications, and Damdit can’t read that setting. If notifications don’t appear, check Damdit in your system’s notification settings:

  • macOS: System Settings → Notifications → Damdit. Open System Settings in the Notifications group takes you there.
  • Windows: Settings → System → Notifications. Open Settings in the Notifications group takes you there.
  • Linux: your desktop’s notification settings.

Focus modes and Do Not Disturb also hide notifications.
